Protection bosses from West Africa’s provincial coalition, ECOWAS, will meet today, Wednesday in Abuja, Nigeria, to consider the new overthrow in the Republic of Niger, the coalition said in an explanation on Tuesday, NAN reports.
Review that heads of the Monetary People group of West African States had on Sunday put sanctions on Niger and cautioned they might utilize force on the junta.
They gave the junta seven days to reestablish President Bazoum, who is being held hostage.
Prior, the junta forewarned it would oppose any “plan of hostility against Niger” by Western or territorial powers.
An assertion gave after the Sunday culmination in Nigeria said that ECOWAS had “zero resistance” for overthrows.
The local coalition said it would “go to all lengths important to reestablish protected request” on the off chance that its requests weren’t met in seven days or less.
“Such measures might incorporate the utilization of power,” and military bosses are to meet “right away” to make arrangements for an intercession, the assertion added.
